Training

The approaches and techniques we use in our oral history work underpin all our projects and interactions with beneficiaries across a broad range of social engagement projects.

We are happy to share and extend this expertise to other third party organisations through our growing training provision.

We are fortunate to have among our team of staff and volunteers, a group of professional teachers, lecturers and speakers who can provide training – both formal and informal.  This training is suitable for people with a wide range of skills and abilities and is designed to be participative, engaging and user focused.  The training topics include:

Oral history interviewing

Intergenerational practice

Reminiscence practice

Dementia awareness raising

Film production

Video editing

Training courses ideally require a minimum of 12 students; the duration and hours of contact time are normally negotiated with the client involved.  Some training may form part of funded provision.

Where fees are required, they will be charged and are paid in advance.
